Charcoal Drawing Workshops for 2026
SATURDAY, MARCH 7th and/or SATURDAY, MARCH 28TH
10:30am - 1pm
Come and learn how to create exciting tonal drawings using the expressive qualities of charcoal. Working from still life and reference images of your choice, we will focus on observation, composition, and mark-making using willow charcoal, charcoal pencils, and rubbers on a variety of papers.
Demonstrations and guidance will be given throughout the morning.
No experience necessary and individual creativity and experimentation encouraged!
All materials provided plus a starter pack to take away with you so that you can carry on drawing at home.
Tea/coffee and cake.
Small groups of up to six people.
Railway Studios are a three minute walk from Charlbury station. They are large and airy with plenty of natural light and there is parking.
I am also offering one-to-one, and small group, tuition at the studio, from the warmth of your own home or out and about in the Charlbury countryside when the weather warms up. Times to suit.
